On 26th Dec 2019, there were 55,062 plugins on wordpress.org, when I performed my extract; an increase of 138 since the last week. So the number of plugins must have silently reached 55 thousand at the start of the week.
There’s one change in the top 12, optinmonster has replaced wp-super-cache.
