Here’s the report for the Top 12 WordPress plugins by total downloads as of the 19th October 2021.
The total number of downloads from WordPress dot org recently exceeded 6 billion. That’s over 1 billion downloads in just under 10 months. Or 268 days since Five billion plugin downloads! Approximately 3.7 million downloads a day.
In that time the total number of plugins has also increased.
- The order of the top 12 by total downloads hasn’t changed since September.
- Google Analytics for WordPress has exceeded 100 million downloads.
- There are now 8 plugins with more than 100M downloads.
- 16% of the plugins have been tested with WordPress 5.8
