Just a week after Top 10 WordPress plugins Christmas Eve (2012) here’s the latest news, based on the average number of downloads per day, since August 2012.

• The top 3 remain the same: contact-form-7, jetpack, all-in-one-seo-pack
• akismet has moved up to 4th, overtaking wordpress-seo
• gtrans has completely disappeared!
• There are now 22,930 plugins
• 390,390,908 downloads in total
• Of which the oik set of plugins on WordPress.org make up 74,739
